Dinosaur “soft” tissue – In the November issue of “Acts & Facts” is the discussion of soft tissue, even eye retina and skin, as well as hemoglobin, being studied by scientists on Mosasaur fossils from 80 million years ago.  As pointed out in the book “Science, Origins, & Ancient Civilizations – Scientific Evidence Withheld from School Textbooks,” this is not an unusual occurrence.  In fact, many dinosaur “fossils” are found with organic material available to study, because they are, in fact, not fossilized yet.  This means they cannot be very old.

Inmate letter from State Prison at San Quentin – Well chaplain, they got me locked in the lowest level here…down deep in the dark…in more ways than one.  It is really bad here in the lowest level, and Satan is very much active here.  But, I must thank you for your “Virtual Chapels” and the book you sent me.  Each week when the virtual chapels come, there are about 20 down here who can’t wait to get their turn to read them.  When possible, we pass them around so they won’t get destroyed by those who oppose Christ.  Your messages have established a secret society down here…we’re meeting in the catacombs you might say.  It is hard to get deep studies like yours that have real meat in them for us to study and learn.  We keep all of your chapels in a pile in a safe cell, and go back to them from time to time.  Please keep them coming.  God bless your ministry….

Noah drunk – Many of you have asked about the passage in Genesis 9:18-27, where Noah curses his son.  The ancients in positions of authority (like Noah); each had a symbol of their authority (like a scepter, or a crown for a king).  Before the scepters and crowns were the symbols of authority, it was the robe.  The leader had a robe, which indicated his position of authority.  Ham reported that his father was naked.  Evidently, Ham desired his father’s authority, and took his robe to embarrass him, and elevate himself.  Ham reported to his brothers that their father was, in effect, not worthy of his status.  Satan, also, wants to take God’s authority, and deceives many to follow him, rather than God (Rev. 12:1-4).

Inmate letter from State Prison at Delano – Pastor Gerry…I am still on my quest to seek God with all of my heart and soul.  I really love God pastor Gerry, and I want to thank you for helping me draw closer to Him…for taking the time to answer my many questions.  The times you spent with me to help guide me in the right direction towards Him, I will not forget, nor let you down.  I still remember what you told me about accepting things as they are, and that blessings will follow.  I’m still thanking God for every detail of my life.  I surrender to Him daily.  I finally got to go to a Bible study here, and because of your Virtual Chapels, I was able to answer some of the questions that came up.  That really felt good.  I can honestly say that I am happy, even in here, because of my relationship with God. I don’t understand everything yet, but I’m content.  God Bless and take care…….

Re-creation – Job 38:1-18 – Here God asks Job if he has understanding of things.  Here the “sons of God” (also called the “stars”), are witnessing the foundations of the earth being “laid.”  Does this mean that the host of heaven were created before the earth?  In Genesis 1:1, we read that God created the heavens and the earth.  And, according to the Jewish understanding, this included the host of heaven also.  But, as to whether God created the host before the earth, we are not told in Genesis 1:1.  The Eden account of creation implies that the earth was in existence when God formed man (out of the dust of the earth).  Adam was a “son of God” (Luke 3:38).

There are some interesting things to note about the words God uses to describe the earth being “laid out,” in Job.  The Hebrew word translated as “laid” means to “change,” “impute,” or “make,” and is not a reference to a supernatural creation (Eden - bara).  The same word “laid” in Job 38: 4 and 6, is translated as “made” in verse 9.  During the 7-day creation account, the word “make” (asah) is mostly used to describe creation out of already existing material -- not original creation (bara - Eden).  In verse 14, God states the earth was “turned,” and this Hebrew word “haphak” means to “change,” “overturn,” “convert,” “overthrow,” or to “turn aside.”  In verse 9, God talks about wrapping the earth in “darkness.”  Darkness, of course, means gloom (shadow – darkness – not eternal life – not the supernatural creation of Eden – Paradise).  In verse 17, God speaks of “death,” obviously not Paradise (Eden).

Job 38 is a reference to the 7-day creation event, where we experience death, darkness, and separation from God (until we are “born again”).  God was asking Job if he had understanding of these things.  Do we?

The Frozen Earth & Ice Age - Dr. Donald W. Patten, Geographer, University of Washington, proposed in “A Symposium on Creation,” a scientific answer to various unexplainable historic facts :  

1)  Mastodons, Mammoths, Rhinos, and others have been found quick frozen with buttercups and daisies still in their mouths, and….

2)  Solid ice formations exist to this day in volcanic tubes where water flow and temperature cannot create ice, and even further, they cannot support ice for tens of thousands of years, and…

3)  The size, and volume, of the ice age cannot be explained by any scientific method -- the ice is estimated by scientists to have been 15-20 million cubic miles of frozen water, and the ice was divided between the two magnetic poles north and south (not the two geographic poles).  The ice rose to heights of 17,000 feet, covering an area of 11,000 square miles.  To form 17,000 feet of ice would require over one million inches of snow fall (no scientific explanation by conventional science can explain this).  If the ice were to have been spread evenly over the entire planet, it would make an ice layer about 400 feet thick.  Ice, to this day, is located 5,000 feet below sea level at the pole in an otherwise salty ocean basin.

 All this evidence points to some catastrophic event at the time of the mammoths, about 5,000 years ago.  Science has determined that the mammoths suffered asphyxiation resulting from temperatures at, or below, -150 degrees. 

 In another possibly related problem for conventional science (trying to explaining the formation of granite), granite seems to have been formed rapidly in a cool state, and yet conventional science believes the earth was hot and molten when the granite rocks were formed. 

Dr. Patten theorizes that about 5,000 years ago (at the time of the freezing of the mammoths), the Earth’s orbit passed within 10,000 miles of an asteroid, comet, or possibly even an icy moon of a planet (like Mars), and, further, this object would have been at least 250-280 miles in diameter (in order to contain enough ice).  As our Earth’s orbit passed within 10,000 miles of this icy object, the object would break apart, and the resulting ice particles entered into earth’s gravitational and magnetic fields.  The ice dropped mostly upon the two magnetic regions (an ice particle can take on magnetic charges) causing a massive freeze in these two polar (magnetic) regions, just as science records.  Some of the ice particles would fall in the warmer regions of earth as rain, and cause flooding.  The massive ice formations at the poles would then begin to melt, causing periods of flooding, and the rising of sea levels, which scientific evidence supports.

This type of comet, asteroid, or icy moon capture, and breakup by earth, could explain today’s catastrophic geologic make up, and unnatural scientific facts, which otherwise cannot be explained by conventional science today.

Star Age & Formation – David F. Coppedge, of the Cassini program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in an article on Globular Clusters, noted that these can no longer be thought of as collections of ancient stars.  Globular Clusters appear to us as millions of stars packed into a small angle of space.  It turns out the scientists, and the current textbooks being used, are wrong, as the consensus up until now was that these clusters comprised the oldest objects in the universe.   However, Hubble Telescope, and others, have now confirmed that these theories are flawed.  Evidence now shows that these Globules contain a mixed population of stars, and even some planets, which means the previous theories of star formation, galaxy formation, and age, are all flawed.

     Sky and Telescope, January 2010, “Finding the First Galaxies,” states the newest Hubble discoveries show that even though “as we go further back in time to when the very first stars and galaxies formed, the average star-formation rate should drop to zero.  But, the new WFC3 observations reveal a star-formation rate that remains comparable to that of galaxies today.”  Are stars being formed today ?  Theory says yes, however there is still no proof available.

Creation – “It was very good.”  Well, not quite.  In fact, from day one (Gen 1:7), God actually said it was only “so,” -- not good, and especially not very good.  In fact, in Gen. 1:2, where most translations state that God “hovered” over the waters below, the correct translation of the Hebrew is “brooded.”   Obviously, God did not think it “very good,” and thus the Bible records that day one was only “so.”  The same is true of day two.  Even day six and the creation of people is only “so.”  In fact, God’s reference to this creation being “good” is actually in relation to His overall plan of creating a process for our salvation (not the creation itself).  God brooded, and He refers to the creation events as only “so,” because it has to be this way, as the fall (sin) has corrupted the creation (Rom. 8:22 – the creation groans).

GALAXY & STAR FORMATION -  Now that super-massive black holes have been identified by the Hubble program at the center of all galaxies, the formation theories of galaxies and stars are being challenged.  The latest version of how galaxies and stars formed is as follows:  Following the Big Bang, billions of dense black holes were created, which consumed most matter close to them.  At a certain point in time (suggested at 13.5 billion years ago) stars began forming from the condensing matter still left around the black hole.  These stars began circulating around the black holes forming the galaxies.  It is still conceded that all galaxies seemed to have formed at the same time in cosmic history.  The difference between conventional science, and the Bible, is still age.  Did this happen 13.5 billion years ago, as measured by time here on earth, or around 10,000 years ago as some astrophysicists now theorize ?

Additionally, a new theory of how stars form, called “Triggered Star Formation,” has been put forward by Xavier Koenig of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in the August 2009 Science Illustrated Magazine.  The theory is : First a massive star forms, which then causes radiation to push outward, and force outside matter to condense into newer stars, and these newer stars, once formed, also generate radiation to push still further outward, and force farther away matter to condense, forming even more stars, and so on.

Suffering and Tragedy  Everyday, someone asks the question :  “Why does a loving God allow tragedy and suffering to occur ?”  And, there is another question which hardly anyone asks.  “Why does God allow Satan control over this     world ?”  The response that : “God allows Satan to control this world, so we will be forced to make a freewill choice between God and Satan.”- doesn’t match with Scripture, because A)  God does not tempt anyone (James 1:13), and B)  God does the leading – we do not seek after God (Psalm 14:1-3, John 15:16).   There must be another reason God allows Satan to control this world (age). 

Rather than blame God for tragedies and suffering, we need to point the finger of blame where it really belongs -- right back at ourselves.  We chose this existence (Satan’s domain), and God is just in giving us exactly what we asked for -- our freewill decision.

Satan has done a good job of deceiving us into blaming God for suffering and tragedies, when, in fact, it is our own selfishness and pride which have separated us from God’s presence, and delivered us into this deteriorating earthly flesh existence.  If it weren’t for God’s love for us, we would simply remain condemned to hell (separation from God) forever.  But, God so loved us that He took the step of sacrificing for those of us who will trust in Him (John 1:1-18, Philip 2:1-8, John 6:33, 38, Heb. 2:9, Col. 2:8-9).  We don’t even deserve this opportunity at reconciliation, much less have any right to complain about it.  Satan truly has done a good job of deceiving us into questioning God’s ways, and questioning just who is really responsible for suffering and death.

DNA Evidence Opposes Evolution – Dr. Andrey Cherstvy of the Max Planck Institute for Physics of Complex Systems in Germany, along with Gary Vezzon of the Institute for Basic Sciences, have shown that electrostatic effects of DNA favor like species interaction over different species interaction.  For decades now, the theory of evolution has relied upon the assumption that new information added into one species, from another species, was the source of new information needed to evolve into a new species.  Mutations have been proven to be overwhelmingly destructive, and therefore, only by some process of sharing of information has the theory of evolution been able try and explain how the DNA structure can evolve with new non-destructive information.  It has been known for a long time now that one of the mechanisms used by DNA sequences to link together is the attraction of these sequences to each other due to their electrostatic charge, which is quite large.  The DNA sequences are drawn to each other.  Studies have now proven that in like species the attraction is very large, but electrostatic charges of DNA sequences from different species have been shown to be repulsive to each other, thus preventing any new information “infecting” the DNA structure.  It is very unlikely that sequences of DNA information from different species would mix because their electrostatic charges would repulse each other.

Alone ? – Why did God say “it is not good for man to be alone” – Gen. 2:18 ?

As Christians we understand that we are to worship God with all our heart, soul, and mind (Luke 10:27).  Jesus described our love and relationship with God is to be so great as to make any other relationships seem as hate (Luke 14:26).  So, as Christians, we all are to experience this great relationship with God – so great a relationship as to make any other seem unnecessary.  And yet, God, when He created us in perfection, in Eden, said that “it is not good that man should be alone: I will make a help mate for him” (Gen 2:18).  Why, if we were created to experience this great relationship with God, in Eden, did God say that, “it is not good,” and further say that, “man would be alone?”  And, why didn’t God just create another similar being ?  Why did God find it necessary to create a being capable of giving birth, especially when, in the creation in Eden, there is no need for procreation (Gen. 2:1 – the creation, and all beings, on both heaven and earth, are finished). 

     There being no need for procreation in Eden, God foreknew that of these created beings (the host of heaven), some would fall, and this was to be His plan of reconciliation (this flesh age He created -- the age we now live in), where we experience birth, and death – born condemned, but given the hope of reconciliation.

1200B.C., Ancient Chinese in Central & South America ? – Ancient Chinese scholar, Han Ping Chen, has identified ancient Chinese characters (writings from the Shang dynasty – 1200 B.C.) on an Olmec sculpture of a head (also 1200 B. C. – the large Olmec heads are famous in Central and South America).  Other ancient links between Meso America, and ancient China include 1)  The ancient Aztec board game of “Patolli,” which is very similar to Parcheesi – 2)  The focus of both China and Meso America on the tiger, the jaguar, and dragon like creatures, and 3)  The use of Jade beads in the mouth of a deceased person, which both the Shang dynasty of China (1200 B.C.), and the Olmec of Meso America (1200 B.C.) used. 

     Another interesting connection between the Maya of South and Central America, and east Asians, is reported by S.G. Morley in his book “The Ancient Maya” Stanford University Press.  Both have the physical characteristics of the epicanthic eye fold (a fold at the inner corner of the eye), and also the unique physical characteristic of what is known as the “Mongolian Spot”(a bluish spot at the base of the spine, which is present at birth, and usually disappears by age 10).  There is also the evidence of shared knowledge of construction of ziggurats by the Aztecs and Chinese, as well as the use of cylindrical seals.  All these connections suggest a “recent” connection between these two continents (as opposed to conventional school books theory of  slow plate tectonics), as discussed in the book Science, Origins, and Ancient Civilizations (Scientific Evidence Withheld from School Textbooks) – www.burneyfam.com, or your book store, or Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
