PREDESTINATION -
excerpt -
Martin
Luther considered predestination to be the heart of Christian Doctrine,
the core of Christian Theology. Predestination is also
central to Baptist theology (1) pg.7, (2) pgs.105-115.
Many have no problem believing
we will live in a transformed state one day in the future, in either
paradise or hell. But, God's use of predestination in the
Bible suggests a prior existence of some kind (Eph. 1:4-5).
Did we exist prior to being conceived in the flesh, and being born into
this earth age ?
The book of Job in the Bible
is regarded by most as the oldest book of the Bible. Job was
faced with both of these issues - life after death, and existence
before birth. Job believed in a resurrection of the dead to
life one day (Job 14:14). And, God, in a rhetorical question,
facetiously told Job to - "instruct God, if Job understood, exactly
where Job was when God laid the foundations of the earth.
Tell God if you know." (Job 38:3-4). Of course, Job, just
like us, without God's Word, have no understanding of this previous age
when all the host of heaven existed, prior to this earth age (Job 38:7).
Many truths of God are not
overtly stated in scripture. The best known truth, the
Trinity, is not overtly stated, but can be found if one searches the
scripture. For example; Who raised Jesus from Death
? Gal. 1:1 reads, God the Father. John 2:19 reads,
God the Son, Jesus Himself. Rom. 8:11 reads, God the Holy
Spirit. It becomes obvious as the scriptures are explored,
that all are one and the same.
In this same manner, Jesus
spoke His truth to the disciples in parables, not overtly disclosing
His message, but giving the believer just enough information to
understand, if they searched the scriptures (Matt. 13:10-11).
And so also, God's Word to us on the subject of predestination is
presented to us with just enough information, so that we can understand
the truth of God's plan, if we search the scriptures.
We understand from scripture
that we did exist prior to the foundation of the earth, but does this
mean we existed in the mind of God in thought only, or in some state of
being ? John, in chapter one of John, tells us of how the
mind of God, and the thoughts and expressions of God, the word of God,
the Logos, at the same time they are being thought of, they can also be
material. God actually became material in this age - "The
Word became flesh." This was not a creation, but a
transformation, as Jesus existed in the very beginning, being God
Himself (Col. 1:15-20, Col. 2:9). God, Jesus, is the mind,
the thoughts, and the Word, whereas we are a creation of that mind of
God.
The question posed to Job, is
the question posed to us, when God speaks of predestination in
scripture, by saying that He knew us
even before the
foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4-5). Did we exist only as a
thought, or did we exist in some actual state of being ? By
understanding predestination in God's Plan of salvation and judgment,
we can come to a true understanding of our being sinners at conception,
that God is not arbitrary, and that we have a real need for God's
sacrifice and grace, so as to not suffer eternal separation - isolation
from God and the host of heaven forever - hell.

DATE
OF CHRIST'S BIRTH - excerpt -
Early Christians actually
celebrated Dec. 25th before Rome began celebrating Dec. 25th as a Roman
holiday. Saturnalia, or natalist solis invicti, the birth of
the sun god (Nimrod), goes back to the Babylonian priesthood, and was
celebrated as early as 274 AD by Rome. Constantine required
Dec 25th to be recognized for Christ's birth, along with all gods of
the sun, in 313 AD. The first recorded Dec 25th date for
Christ's birth is listed as 336 AD in a Roman Almanac, according to
Chuck Freas. Dr. Chuck Missler states it is first recorded in
354 AD, in a calendar of Philocalus. The Christian church
Bishops formally
adopted Dec. 25th in 440 AD.
But, Christians had already
associated Dec. 25th with the birth of Christ much earlier than all
these dates for a completely different reason, according to William
Tighe, Professor of History at Muhlenberg College. The Dec.
25th date related to the Jewish tradition of the great prophets having
an "integral age", where their day of death was also, either their day
of birth, or conception. Jesus death was dated to March 25th,
and the feast of passover. Early Christians celebrated March
25th as the Feast of Annunciation (His Conception), which would put His
birth at Dec. 25th. Also Dec. 25th would be remembered as the
date the magi in Jerusalem saw the star stand still over Bethlehem.
The Babylonian practices,
including the celebration of Dec. 25th, which is the birth of the sun
god (Nimrod), were passed on to the church by Constantine when he was
pushing the Roman Empire to convert to Christianity. These
Babylonian practices include the sacred traditions of the mother /
child
cult of Ishtar and Tammuz................

MILLENNIUM
- THE GLEANING
- excerpt -
.............Some might say I go
too far to say that Scripture indicates those who have not been called
(to Salvation), during this age will be called in the
millennium.........thus, all
must be called in truth by the Word of God - the
Gospel - and only then will
those who deny Jesus be permanently condemned. God is loving,
and, God
is just.
During the millennium will be that call for the aborted, and the lost,
as there are births in the millennium, births to supernatural bodies,
which will live for a long period (1,000 years), and be taught by Jesus.
Fullness of the Gentiles will
be reached in this current flesh age, meaning that the number of souls
God has predestined to be birthed into this age will have been reached
- some will have been called to salvation, and some will not have been
called, - and God will then usher in the millennium age (Rom.
11:25-26)..............

MARRIAGE
AND DIVORCE
- hand out
excerpt -
..........History
is full of differing opinions of how to interpret
God's Word concerning marriage, divorce, and re-marriage.
God uses marriage as the example of His plan of salvation throughout
the Scriptures, which means that the solution to our dilemma on how to
understand God's ways concerning marriage, divorce, and re-marriage, is to
understand God's plan of salvation.
As Christians, what we should
be thinking about, when we hear these words of marriage and divorce, is
God's plan:
- The marriage
pictures the resurrection to eternal life with God in His kingdom.
- The wedding
pictures Jesus, the groom, coming for His bride - those who trust in
Him.
- The divorce
pictures the resurrection to the judgment of eternal separation from
God, for those who do not love God and trust fully in Him.
It is my contention that - if
we raised our children - if we taught in our churches - if we counseled
those getting married - about the true meaning behind the marriage and
divorce plan of God - then every time we hear the word marriage, we
would think of God and His kingdom. Every time we hear the
word wedding, we
would think of the resurrection, and God's saving grace. And,
every time we hear the word divorce, we
would think of God and His judgment.................and re-marriage is
impossible........
